Well, this is really like the 3rd day, but I combined it all.... I've been using an air die grinder thus far, but I'll use other tools later....I mainly have used 100 grit grinding bits, 80 grit sanding wheels (see picts...I had one blow up and smack me in between my eyes...thank god for saftey glasses) and also wire brushes. Total time spent: 10 hours. Total grinding bits used all the way up: 3 Total sanding bits used up: 8 Total wire brushes used up: 2 Ok here's the picts...I bought this for like $50 from a board member here. It was pretty bad as far as how it looked, but it didn't matter to me....I was going to sand it all down anyways... This is "right" after I cleaned a lot of it up with the wire brush...no sanding or grinding yet.
Look at the upper left side of the plenum, I've started grinding down all the little pits, etc...

Look at the lower left...all the pits in the aluminum are gone...it looks 10 times better in person...after it's all sanded down...then comes the polishing (the "fun" part)

Ok, from left to right...A polishing bit that's more than all the way worn down..an aluminum grinding bit that was ground all the way down that it didn't do anything anymore....5 sanding barrel pieces...the one on the far right is the one that blew up and smacked me in the face...and the piece on one of my die grinders is the wired brush (that one is still good)

This is the fun part...you have aluminum pieces in your nose, boogers, ears, hair, etc....it never ends...I thought I'd show you guys just how bad it really is...that's only after about 2 hours of grinding....it was alot worse when I was done.

One of my 4 kitty's...this is Daisy...she's pissed that I'm trying to take a pict of her.
